Description

This loft-style attic flat, with real wooden floors, and original beams, is right in the heart of the Born district, 1 minute from the Picasso Museum, and 2 minutes from the Passeig del Born, known for the bars and restaurants around the church of Santa Maria del Mar. A 10-minute walk away you will find the Ramblas and the beach is only 15 minutes. Its location is just perfect!

The apartment has a cosy living/dining room with two comfortable double sofa-beds (120 x 180cms), a hammock in front of one of the balconies to read or relax, a main bedroom with a large double bed, a spacious bathroom with shower, and a fully equipped kitchen. This apartment, with 3 exterior balconies, and lots of natural light, has a cosy and warm feel to it.

The building does not have a lift.

The neighbourhood

Borne, also known as La Ribera, was originally the artisan quarter of the city. In medieval times, it was the centre of the city’s trade and industry.

In the 13th century Born was connected to the Gothic quarter and its historic walls and its absorption into the centre of the city was complete with the opening in the 20th century of the Via Laietana.

Nowadays it is one of the liveliest and most fashionable neighbourhoods in Barcelona. Designer clothes shops, modern, minimalist restaurants and the latest cocktail bars draw visitors and residents alike to the area’s narrow streets.
