Booking and deposit

In order to confirm your booking, rentBCN must receive payment in advance online. The required pre-payment amount depends on: the selected apartment, the number of guests and the length of your stay. This amount is shown in the price calculation and also on the online booking form..

Please note that the booking is not confirmed until pre-payment is received; you will then receive the booking confirmation by email.

The remaining balance, along with the damage deposit, needs to be paid in cash upon arrival, unless otherwise stated. The damage deposit is refunded at your departure, after the owner or their representative has inspected the accommodation.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations or changes must be made via email or fax. Cancellations or changes by phone are not accepted.

If the client cancels a booking, the prepayment is non-refundable, not even in the case of force majeure and bookings are not transferable from one apartment to another.

In the event that the client changes the dates, it will be understood as a new stay and it will be subject to the cancellation conditions.

Once the client has paid the total amount to the owner it is not refundable under any circumstances.

In the event that rentBCN has to modify the initial agreement, rentBCN is committed to offer an equal or better accommodation without any additional cost to the client or to reimburse the client the sum charged on-line. If the client does not accept it, the above mentioned cancelation policy will be applied in reciprocity.

Arrival and Departure

Once you have received the booking confirmation by email, please print a copy of the email to bring with you; it has all the information that you need on arrival.

If you were unable to provide your estimated time of arrival (ETA) when you booked, please let us know your ETA at least three days prior to your arrival date. This helps to ensure a prompt check-in.

On the arrival day the owner or their representative will be waiting for you at the apartment to welcome you and show you the details of the apartment and give you the keys. You will be asked to sign a short-term rental contract, also signed by the owner.

Please note that the check-in time is from 3 pm and check out is before 11 am, unless arranged otherwise. Check-ins after 8pm incur an extra charge of 40€ or 60€ after 10pm.


The apartment will be cleaned prior to your arrival. When leaving, you are required to leave the apartment in reasonable condition. The owner is entitled to charge additional fees if the accommodation is not left as such.

Rules during your stay

- Parties, loud music and disturbances are strictly forbidden

- Please respect your neighbours

- Silent hours from 10pm to 9am

- Please respect the noise level in the building common areas

- A 100€ fee will be charged when loosing the keys of the apartment.

- All guests must treat the property and furnishings of the apartment with total respect

If neighbours complain and/or police are called, it can result in immediate eviction regardless of the time of day or night. This will also result in loss of pre-paid rent and refundable damage deposit.

Number of guests

The client must book for the number of guests in the booking party. If this number varies during your stay, you must book for the highest number of persons that will occupy the accommodation.

Unless otherwise agreed by the owner, only the number of guests indicated by the client in the booking are authorised to use the accommodation. The number of persons who may use the accommodation must not exceed its allocated capacity. Up to two children under 7 years stay free of charge for extra beds. Pets are only allowed where permission has specifically been granted.

In the event of any infringement of these obligations, the owner is entitled to evict the client and his/her guests from the accommodation; thereby forfeiting the right to any compensation by the client.


Neither rentBCN nor the owner of the accommodation shall be made liable for any direct or indirect damages that may occur during the stay-period at the accommodation, including (but not exclusive to): injury to person or possession, losses because of fire, theft or criminal behaviour. RentBCN is solely acting as intermediate between the property owner and the client.

Our website

All the apartment descriptions and information concerning them are supplied by the owners and they are liable for its accuracy and also for the communication to rentBCN of any changes in the apartments’ equipment. Whilst rentBCN does its utmost to maintain accuracy and to check details wherever possible, it cannot be held liable for any errors or omissions that may arise. RentBCN also reserves the right to change information published on the site at any time, including rates, descriptions, photographs and its terms and conditions.

Pre-payment by credit card?

Yes, our credit card payment pages are SSL secured. For the pre-payment you will be redirected to the secure payment system, where you can enter your card details in a secure environment.


How do I know it is safe?

When you enter the card details on the payment page,you will see a small icon at the top of your internet browser, which tells you it is safe. This icon looks as follows:


On the payment page, you will also see that the URL address has changed, from "http:" to "https:" where the "s" stands for secure.
